MEYER INDUSTRIES LIMITED was incorporated in Thailand on May 18, 1990. We had chosen to be located in an industrial estate in Laem Chabang, a city which is some 150 Kilometer from Bangkok. Today, Laem Chabang has been developed into the main deep-sea port of Thailand with impressive container terminal facilities. Our close proximity to the port has offered us a lot of transportation advantage and convenience.
Construction of the factory building of MIL started in November 1990
By February 1992, we had completed two buildings, one for making non-stick aluminum cookware and another for stainless steel cookware. We made our first shipment, which was non-stick aluminum cookware, on February 28, 1992. So within a span of about 15 months, we had finished two massive buildings, each with a covered area of about 23,000 square meters, installed all necessary production equipment and facilities, arranged production and finally made shipment.

Stainless steel cookware
The initial investment was for brazing technology. To meet market requirement of even better quality, within a couple of years, further
investment was made for the friction bonding technology. Today, all our stainless steel cookware, which is operated under the Stainless Steel Division (SS), is made with this technology.

In the initial years
We were producing only porcelain enameled non-stick aluminum cookware. In September 1995, we ventured into roller coated aluminum cookware. Then again in 2002, we also acquired the technology to do curtain coated aluminum cookware. Since then, we had put all three methods of producing non-stick aluminum cookware under the Cookware & AAP Division
(CE & AAP).

In mid 2000
We have continued our investment in Thailand. We added another factory building, which has a covered area of 53,000 square meters. This is the
building that houses the Hard Anodized Division (HA), Carton Box Division (CB) as well as the General Office. We have put in the most modern and advanced machinery and equipment for both divisions, making it a highly automated operation. Hard anodized cookware is new to Thailand. With this investment, we are bringing into Thailand new technology and opportunities.
