
WELFARE
To enhance morale of employees who put their best effort, physically and mentally, and devote their time to work, the Company will provide other welfare to the employees so as to improve their quality of life.
The welfare provided by the Company will be as follows:
Workmen Compensation Fund
The Company will contribute money to the Workmen Compensation Fund Office, a part of the Social Security Fund Office, which will be responsible for paying money on behalf of the Company to those employees who have an accident, or are sick, or die due to work. The Company has applied to be a member under the Workmen Compensation Fund and deemed it as welfare for employees.
Social Security Fund
As prescribed by the government, employees, employers and government will have to equally contribute money to the Social Security Fund, which is a part of the Social Security Fund Office. They will be responsible to pay coverage as prescribed under the law governing Social Security to those who have accidents or are sick not concerning work, including child delivery, disability, death, child assistance, old age, and unemployment. The Company has applied to be a member under the Social Security Fund and deemed it as welfare for employees.
Provident Fund
To enhance quality of life and benefit the living of employees, the Company supports saving by setting up a Provident Fund. All employees who pass the probationary period will join the Fund. The regulations of the fund, the contribution rate and deduction from employee wage/salary will be based on the current and effective provident fund announcement of the Company. Once the membership of an employee is ceased upon resignation from work, termination or death, the benefits given by the Fund will be as follow:
a) Net benefit from the money contributed by the employee and the Company according to length of service, as per Provident Fund Scheme approved by the Company.
b) Where employees commit gross misconduct, or are dismissed or terminated for violating the Company’s rules and regulations, they will not be entitled to the net benefit from the contribution provided by the Company.
c) For employees who do not provide sufficient resignation notice, the days short will be converted into money and be deducted from the Company’s contribution. This is calculated by the number of days short times the last salary or wage of the employee.
Company Uniform
For orderliness and unity on performing work, the Company will provide uniform, according to the standard set by the Company, to employees to wear while performing work for the Company. The uniform will be given under the following conditions:
a) Employees on their first year of service will be given 3 sets per person after passing probation;
b) After the first year of service, employees will be given two (2) sets per year.
Health Examination
For the benefit of the employees, the Company will provide a health examination once per year, without charge.
Canteen
The Company will provide a canteen so that the employees will have a place for meal. The Company will also work with the canteen vendors to ensure food provided would be hygienic and of reasonably low price.
Outpatient Reimbursement Scheme
An employee is entitled to the Social Security outpatient reimbursement scheme. The Company will also provide the benefit of an Outpatient Reimbursement Scheme, as per Policy issued by the General Manager, dated August 30, 1993 or as updated from time to time.
Group Personal Accident Insurance
The Company will provide two kinds of accident insurance:
24-hour personal accident insurance
The Company will provide a 24-hour personal accident insurance to all full time employees, details as per insurance policy issued by the insurance company and approved by the Company.
Working hour personal accident insurance
The Company will also provide working hour personal accident insurance to all full time employees, details as per insurance policy issued by the insurance company and approved by the Company.
Welfare Committee
The Company will have a Welfare Committee to look after welfare. The welfare committee is selected by employee vote
