RULES, QUALIFICATION, AND
PROCEDURE OF EMPLOYMENT

Management Policy

The Company has set the policy of management in accordance with the law.  Therefore these Work Rules and Regulations will comply strictly and fairly with the laws governing employment, wages, working hours and other conditions of employment.  So employees should understand and feel confident with the Company’s management system.  They should work hard and devote themselves to continuous efficiency and productivity improvement so as to help accomplish the goals of the Company.


Orientation

On the first day of coming to work, the Administration Department of the Company will explain to the new employee regarding these Work Rules and Regulations, wage or salary, rights and welfare of the Company, and also introduce them to their working place, supervisors, managers and other concerned work units.

Probationary Period

 

a) On first employment, an employee will be subject to a probationary period which does not exceed 120 days. 

b) Before the end of the probationary period, the Administration Department of the Company will send the Performance Evaluation Form and attendance record to the supervisor to evaluate his/her performance, including character and behaviour.  If the performance is satisfactory, the employment of such employee will be confirmed. If the performance and attendance records are not satisfactory, the manager concerned will notify the Administration Department to issue a letter of termination of employment to such employee.  This termination letter will be given in advance, on or before any due date of wage or salary payment, and the termination will be effective on the following due date of wage or salary payment. There will be no requirement for the advance notice to be more than three months. Such termination of employment will be without severance pay, provided the working period is less than 120 days.

c) Especially during the probationary period, good attendance record will have a significant impact on employment confirmation.

Confirmation

a) Employees who pass the probationary period in accordance with the Company’s conditions will receive a letter of confirmation from the Company.

b) After confirmation, employees will start to fully enjoy the welfare and benefits apart from the standard welfare according to the labour law suit as offered by the Company.

Transfer of Job and Relocation of Workplace

The Company reserves the rights to transfer switch or change positions, jobs, duties, working hours, or workplace of employees as seen appropriate and necessary to the Company.
