
HOLIDAYS AND CONDITION
ON HOLIDAYS
Weekend Holiday
The Company sets any one day in a week as the weekend holiday. There will be the weekend holiday after 6 days of consecutive work.
Traditional Holiday
a) The Company will consider setting the followings as traditional holidays:
- New Year’s Day - Buddhist Lent Day
- Chinese New Year’s Day - HM The Queen’s Birthday
- Songkran Day - Chulalongkorn Day
- National Labour Day - H.M. The King’s Birthday
- Visakabucha Day - New Year’s Eve
b) If the traditional holiday falls on the weekend holiday, the substitution day for the traditional holiday will be on the following working day.
c) The Company may change the date of the traditional holidays as seen appropriate and necessary. However, the number of such holidays will not be less than thirteen (13) days in a year.
Annual Leave
a) Employees who have worked continuously for one year, counting from the first day of employment, will be entitled to Annual Holiday with pay (with basic wage/salary and Cola only), at the rate equal to those paid on the regular working days. Entitlement for the Annual Holiday will be as follows:
- Service of 1 to 2 years will entitle to 6 working days per year.
- Service of 3 to 5 years will entitle to 8 working days per year.
- Service of 5 year upward will entitle to 12 working days per year.
b) Each time the holiday is taken, it will be for a minimum of half a day or four (4) hours.
c) Employees will have to submit a Leave Form to the department manager for approval, at least 3 days in advance, so that the manager can consider whether the employees’ leave will affect the job or the Company’s business and whether the leave should be approved. The manager will arrange the most convenient time for the employees to take leave if he finds his application not appropriate. Employees who take Annual Holiday without submitting a Leave Form and/or the submitted Leave Form is not approved will be considered as absent from work.
d) Employees will have to take all entitled Annual Holiday within the year. It cannot be accumulated and postponed to the following year.
If employees do not wish to exercise their rights, they may come to work as normal.
