
GENERAL PROVISION
Title
These Work Rules and Regulations shall be called “Work Rules and Regulations of Meyer Industries Limited, B.E. 2555”.
Date of Enforcement
These Work Rules and Regulations shall be effective from August 20, B.E. 2555 (2012).
Definitions
In these Work Rules and Regulations:
The Company
The “Company” shall mean Meyer Industries Limited. Its office is situated at 38/9 Moo 5, Laemchabang Industrial Estate, Tambon Tungsukla, Amphur Sriracha, Changwat Chonburi 20230, Thailand. Its telephone number is (038) 404200, and facsimile (038) 490393.
Employee
An “Employee” shall mean a person employed by the Company to work for its business and receive wage or salary, on an hourly, daily, monthly or piece work basis, in accordance with the position and work set by the Company.
Probationary Employee
A “Probationary Employee” shall mean a person newly employed by the Company who will be subject to a probationary period of not exceeding 119 days.
Piece Rate Worker
A “Piece Rate Worker” shall mean an employee who receives wage for each piece of work done.
Daily Worker
A “Daily Worker” shall mean an employee who receives wage for each day of working, traditional holiday, annual holiday and approved leaves which are entitled to pay.
Monthly Worker
A “Monthly Worker” shall mean an employee who receives wage for each month of working, including weekend holiday, traditional holiday, annual holiday and approved leaves which are entitled to pay.
Monthly Staff
A ”Monthly Staff” shall mean an employee who receives salary for each month of working, including weekend holiday, traditional holiday, annual holiday and approved leaves which are entitled to pay.
Supervisors
In these Work Rules and Regulations, “supervisors” shall mean employees at the level of supervisor, section head, department head, and assistant manager or up; and “management” shall mean employees at the level of manager and up.
Scope of Application
These Work Rules and Regulations apply to all employees of the Company. It is deemed to be a part of the employment contract made between the Company and employees. However, the Company reserves the right to amend these Work Rules and Regulations, as it sees fit and necessary, so as to facilitate its operation and to comply with the latest version of Labour Law.
Decision and Consideration
In case of question or dispute where a decision and consideration is required on any section or any part or in whole, the Company will consider fairly and will explain the result of the consideration to the employees.
