  • Regularly takes stock of one’s own capabilities to identify areas for development, and actively seeks out opportunities to learn and grow.

  • Welcomes any feedback or criticism as a chance to improve.

  • Shows eagerness to be exposed to multiple functions, aspires to have a diverse work experience.

  • Regularly shares (and applies) best practices, experiences, and knowledge with (and from) colleagues.

For all Managers and above only

  • Serves as a role model demonstrating commitment to continual improvement.

  • Successfully implements change initiatives within one’s own function.

  • Helps to generate buy-in and support for change initiatives.

  • Prefers the status quo; disregards or fails to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Is pessimistic, does not believe in the benefit(s) any change would bring; has trouble adapting to the new and different.

  • Is not aware of what one needs to develop; rarely seeks out opportunities to learn and grow.

  • Gets defensive about any feedback or criticism.

  • Is not interested in being exposed to other functions.

  • Seldom shares best practices, experiences, and knowledge with others, or does not believe in learning from others' sharing.

For all Managers and above only

  • Does not demonstrate commitment to continual improvement.

  • Poorly manages change initiatives within one’s own function.

  • Does not motivate others to adopt change initiatives.
